Is it profitable to raise broiler chickens? Broiler chickens have the characteristics of high feed remuneration, fast turnover and high profits.
As my country's economy continues to grow rapidly, the consumer demand for chickens will continue to increase. Chickens are rich in nutrients,
unique in flavor, cheap and good in quality. Consumption will continue to increase, and the prospects for the domestic broiler industry are relatively bright.
How do we modernize and scientifically raise broiler chickens?
Feed management
Focus point:
1. The material level is sufficient and evenly distributed;
2. Check whether the driving and feeder lines can operate normally;
3. The thickness of the material when driving is uniform; the material tray cannot be tilted to ensure that the feeding line remains straight, and the feeding system lines must be fixed to avoid leakage and cross-current;
4. Height adjustment of the feed tray: Ensure that the feed tray is installed in place, and the height of the chicken's back during the breeding period is consistent with the height of the upper edge of the feed tray grille;
5. Do not cut off the material. After each loading, check whether the end of the material level device is transferred in place, whether the material level device is clogged and empty trays appear, and whether there is drum material in the material level device;
6. Check once after each feeding to ensure that there is feed in each chicken coop. Put away the feed at both ends of the trough or distribute it to the chickens to prevent mold and deterioration over time.
7. Let the chickens collect feed from the trough or tray once a day.
8. After mixing, observe the feed for mold and other deterioration, and report any abnormalities to the farm director in a timely manner.
Feed quality: The farm director or general security officer should pay special attention to the appearance of each supplied feed, such as color, particles, dryness and humidity, odor, etc. If there is any abnormality, it will not be accepted and reported.
Notice:
When the chickens are unhealthy, the feed intake will first decrease, so it is necessary to accurately record the feed intake and pay special attention to the daily increase or decrease in feed intake!
Drinking water management
Focus point:
1. Do not cut off water during normal feeding to ensure that the chickens can drink clean water at all times;
2. Height: A. The waterline must be straight; B. The waterline nipple of 0-2 days old is usually at the same level as the chick's eyes; C. Adjust it at least once every two days; D. When the chicks drink water , the angle formed by the chicken's back and the cage bottom net is 35-45°. As the chickens grow, when drinking water, the angle formed by the adult chicken's back and the ground is about 75-85°; E. The height of the nipple drinking system should be ensured The chicken can drink water with its feet slightly raised; F. Check the water line and nipples once a day to ensure that the water line and nipples are not leaking. Water volume calculation formula ml/minute=week age*7+20
3. Pressure: A. For chickens that are 1-3 days old, the pressure regulator (pressure valve) shows that the water level in the pipe is 5-8cm; for chickens that are 4-14 days old, the pressure regulator shows that the water level in the pipe is 8--- -20cm; for chickens 15 days old or above, the water level height of the pressure regulator display pipe is 20-35cm; B. In summer, the height of the water level display pipe should be increased appropriately: 3-5cm;
4. Flushing: A. Back flush the water pipe at least once every two days; B. Flushing is necessary when drinking vaccines and drugs interact with each other; C. Flush a single pipe and ensure that the sewer pipe is smooth;
5. Pay attention to check whether the water line pipe, pressure regulator, nipple, water level pipe, etc. are abnormal. If there is gas, water leakage, blockage, etc., eliminate them immediately;
6. Check whether there is water in the tail nipple and the flow rate every 4 hours;On days 7, 14 and 28, remove the pressure regulator and connecting pipes, clean and disinfect them before installation and use;
7. When flushing the water line, flush each column separately, turn off all water lines that are not flushed, and increase the water pressure of the flushing water line to ensure the flushing effect. Observe that the water at the tail end is clean and then rinse for 5 minutes.

Lighting management
Key points:
The chicks must have enough brightness to stimulate feeding. The lights-off time is fixed and uniform every day (it is recommended to start turning off the lights at 20:00, and it can be postponed to 21:00 in summer)! During the hot season, you can turn off the lights between 12:00 and 15:00 after 25 days to reduce the amount of activity.
Precautions:
1. The chicken house has even lighting.
2. Light restriction begins only when the chicken weight reaches more than 180 grams.
3. Reduce the dark period before selling.
4. If you encounter stress or other situations that require increased food intake, you can extend the lighting to stimulate food intake.
5. Please do not stay in the black light period during the coldest time of the day.
6. Excessive light can cause chicken pecking and sudden death with the belly facing upward.
