If the temperature difference between day and night is too large or the weather is volatile, it is necessary to use mixed ventilation to ensure the temperature of the chicken house. Therefore, when transitioning from a horizontal vent to a longitudinal vent, attention must be paid to the management of the air inlet. That is, when the fan is turned from the first stage to the second stage or the third stage to start, the corresponding air inlet must be adjusted to reduce the negative pressure of the chicken house, so that the front and back of the chicken house have uniform wind speed and consistent temperature. For example, gradually open area of the cooling pads and increase the area of the vent, otherwise the negative pressure in the chicken house will be too large, which will affect the efficiency of the fan.


When turning from horizontal ventilation to vertical ventilation, it is recommended that only when the number of fans in the house is more than half of all fans, generally more than or equal to 5 fans, it is necessary to change from mixed ventilation to longitudinal ventilation. When using longitudinal ventilation, it must be close all side wall vents. When one or two fans are turned on in the house, lateral ventilation should be used; when three to five fans are turned on in the house, mixed ventilation is recommended. Effective temperature and body temperature


The air movement over the birds creates a convective cooling effect that removes the moisture released by the birds during normal respiration and panting. The velocity of air throughout the house can create a "wind chill effect" on the birds. Whether the ventilation management of the chicken house is effective and whether the chickens are comfortable, you can't just look at the temperature displayed by the thermometer and the thermostat, you must pay attention to the body temperature of the chickens. Special reminder: The best way to judge whether the environment in the house is suitable and whether the chickens are healthy and comfortable is to observe the chickens, that is, to understand the comfort level of the chickens according to whether the chickens are eating, drinking, screaming, and mental state. 


The temperature felt by the chicken flock (perceivable temperature) is different from the temperature measured by the thermometer. The absolute temperature and air flow velocity of the chicken house, the age of the chicken flock, gender, and the environmental conditions of the chicken house must be considered comprehensively. The faster the air velocity, the greater the difference between the chicken's body temperature (low) and the temperature recorded by the thermometer (high); the younger the chicken, the greater the "wind cooling effect" caused by the wind speed. Therefore, as a field manager, you must understand what are normal and what is abnormal for your chicken flock, and you must often enter the chicken house to observe, evaluate, and feel whether the smell and temperature of the chicken house is suitable, especially before and after turning on the lights in the morning, you must judge the ventilation rate is it suitable.

It is recommended that the temperature of the chicken house is kept at 22°c to 24°c, and when the temperature reaches above 32°c, all the fans in the chicken house can start to start, so the differential among the fans at all levels must be set reasonably to avoid frequent start of the fans. According to the weather conditions, check and install various parts of the cooling pads in advance, such as water pipes, motor water pumps, etc., And rinse the cooling pads before use to ensure that it can be put into use at any time. It is recommended that when the temperature of the chicken house reaches above 30°c and the chickens have obvious thermal reactions, the remaining two fans in the chicken house should be started. If the temperature still cannot be lowered, the cooling pads should be started immediately to cool down. At the beginning of summer, the outside temperature is not as high as the hot summer, but the temperature of the chicken house has reached 30°C. At this time, the cooling pads should be started and the opening time should be shortened as much as possible and several fans should be properly turned off to achieve the purpose of cooling and reduce the temperature. Chickens are less stressed. If the fan are fully turned on, and then the cooling pads is turned on, the temperature in the house will drop greatly, which will cause greater stress to the chickens.


When opening the cooling pads, you should pay close attention to the temperature change. When the temperature drops rapidly, you should combine the closing of the cooling pads and the appropriate stop of several fans to alleviate it. After opening the cooling pads, when the temperature of the chicken house drops to 27°c, the cooling pads should be closed, and the temperature should rise to 29°c to 30°c before opening. When the cooling pads and fan are all turned on and the temperature is still above 30°c, add new water or ice cubes to the reservoir and use sprayer to relieve it.


Do not open the cooling pads in the morning and evening or when the temperature and humidity is high outside. Generally, it can be opened after 9:00 am according to the actual situation, and it is recommended closing it after 5:00 pm. The cold wind generated by the cooling pads should be properly blocked at the cooling pads of the chicken house to avoid cold stress in a small range of chickens. When using the cooling pads, check the condition of the reservoir regularly to ensure that there is sufficient water source to prevent the water pump from burning out the machine.


Regularly check the water circulation system of the cooling pads, especially the pipeline outlet above the cooling pads, to ensure that the water flow is evenly distributed on the entire surface of the wet curtain. In order to obtain the best cooling effect, ensure that the cooling pads are completely wetted by water. At the same time, the cooling pads itself also needs to be cleaned to allow the air to pass through smoothly, so it is required to clean up the air hole gap as much as possible to prevent blockage. When the water curtain is started for the first time, water quality should be cleaned and changed frequently, and disinfectant should be added to the water (but no bromine or chlorine-containing medicines can be added).

The best way to clean the cooling pads is to wash it with a lot of water, but use normal pressure water flow instead of high pressure water gun, otherwise it will damage the cooling pads, you can use the low pressure water flow to wash the cooling pads. The cistern should be kept clean, replenished with clean water in time, and disinfected with bacteria and poisons in the water. The top of the cistern must be covered with objects to prevent contamination by chicken feathers and the like.


Cool the chickens as much as possible at night, accumulate excess heat during the day, and dissipate it at night. The temperature controller can be set to ensure the continuous operation of the fan.
